For some reason, I don't believe the band was seen. I know a guy that played piano for the show and I'm pretty sure they were off camera. BUT, they MIGHT have been in a sketch or two?

I love Jeff, but even if you could see him, I doubt he'd be playing anything very hip that you'd really dig or could cop anything from. I'd be curious to see him back then too, but wonder if it's worth the investment - unless you're a collector and don't care. If you pick it up, let us know what you think.

It wasn't always about what Jeff played but it was always about how he played it(if you know what I mean). I've got a CD of Jeff playing with Sonny & Cher in Vegas when he was about 18 years old. Believe me, it still holds up today as being some very hip stuff. Even the drum sounds are great. Randy and Danny will back me up on this cause I think they both have the same CD. And yes, I'm just nutty enough to buy this thing if it has some footage of Jeff grooving. [img]wink.gif[/img]

I know what you mean. I figured he'd be buried in the mix, rarely on camera, playing old (basic) tunes. But he could make it interesting if anyone could. Jeff was always a tasteful and grooving drummer, with a hip approach that always made him identifiable. If you do pick it up, let us know how it is.

I was in Tower Records over the weekend and happened to see a DVD box set of a bunch of the old Sonny & Cher TV shows. It got me thinking(always a bad thing) that there might be some great footage of Jeff playing. Does anybody remember the format of the show? When the band was playing could they be seen? Eagle, I'm especially counting on you and your Jeff acumen for some insight. What do you think?

Dude I was thinking the samething and there is a single DVD of the show and era that Jeff would have been doing the gig but I cannot remember if you could ever see the band.

I know what you mean but given a choice, I'd have to say I liked her better before all the surgery. But then I liked Gadd's face better before he fixed his too....
